Heartleaf Books is more than a store -- it’s cooperative: a place for people to gather, learn, and explore. Heartleaf sells books, art, and gifts to inspire readers of all ages to challenge white supremacy by engaging with the written word. Heartleaf Books is a space where the neighborhood can gather to browse the shelves, engage with local artists, and appreciate the breadth of experiences captured by the written word.

A cooperative, or co-op, is a business owned and operated by its employees and owner-members. 

Owner-members purchase shares in the bookstore in exchange for discounts on new books, exclusive events and newsletters, voting rights on co-op matters, and eligibility to run for the co-op's board.
